Rudyard Flowers
Our members were highly engaged by Karen from Rudyard Flowers during her demonstration. The impressive selection of flowers showcased was both visually appealing and pleasantly fragrant. In addition, Karen delivered an informative presentation on the development and growth of her successful business..




Some of us were very fortunate to win the beautiful flowers from the demonstrations, which Karen donated to the raffle. Many thanks to Karen for the flowers and an interesting and enjoyable evening.

Hill Ridware Village Fate
Another very successful day at the Fete.
The Ridwares WI's bottle bag tmbola was very popular, as was the Pimms stall which was in the safe hands of the WIST gang - WI Support Team!
A wonderful community event.






Skittles Evening
We had another evening of fun, friendship and a few laughs at the Shoulder of Mutton last night.







We have some very talented members.
Seven winning certificates for our entries at the County Show.
Congratulations, ladies, and a very well done to all who entered the competitions.








We celebrated St George Day Tea with a delightful afternoon tea and a good old sing-along.
All our members appreciated the visit from the Home Run Hounds Greyhound Charity.
This was the first occasion where one of our speakers attempted
a prompt exit via the front door.

We had a visit from Suzan Holder.
It was an excellent meeting Suzan Holder’s talk was interesting and very entertaining. She had us enthralled and sold out of the books she had with her. I can’t wait to start mine!








Chinese New Year
We had the pleasure of celebrating the Chinese New Year on Friday, 31st January at the Ruby Restaurant in Lichfield. The event was a success and enjoyed by all.
January’s 2025 Resolution meeting was really interesting. We had speakers from St John’s Ambulance who demonstrated that bystanders can be lifesavers and two lovely ladies who talked about the myths of incontinence.
The shortlisted resolutions are:
- Let’s talk about incontinence
- Bystanders can be lifesavers
- Join the repair revolution
- Eliminate landfill of medication packaging





2024 Events
Christmas Party
We had a lovely meal with lots of fun and laughter with friends.
We sang and danced to the wonderful Piano Man.
An enjoyable evening was had by all.

We had a fabulous time at our Tinsel and Trimmings.
Christmas carols with Lea Hall Brass Band ….. mulled wine, mince pies & other refreshments….. cakes, crafts & tombola/ jarbola stalls… & our famous Christmas Raffle!














SFWI CHRISTMAS EVENT
Our lovely ladies grabbed lots of Christmas gifts at the SFWI Christmas Event @ the Staffordshire County Showground.
The speakers Debbie from Perry’s Fields to Fork & Will Kirk from The Repair Shop were inspirational.





We all enjoyed the Christmas Wreath event with Karen.


We celebrated ‘World Kindness Day’ Saturday 16 November 2024.
Thank you to the ladies who helped make the gifts and delivered them to every doorstep in Hill Ridware.












The weather was on our side for RIDWARE REMEMBERS last Sunday. Thank you everyone who contributed to the event the tea/coffee and cakes were enjoyed by all.

Sister Act @ Lichfield Garrick
A group of us went to the Lichfield Garrick to watch Sister Act, performed by the Wallsall Operatic Society. What a fantastic show, the singing and acting was out of this world . We all got up and out of our seats to join in at the end.
A most enjoyable and uplifting evening.

We went to see the Calendar Girls the Musical at the Lichfield Operatic Society. It was an inspiring true story of the ordinary women from a small village in Yorkshire who did something extraordinary.
